I would like to start my own business one day. Its just very hard in the beginning, it cost a lot of money to get started initially and I hear it is very hard to get approved for an SBA loan. Are they any alternatives to this I wonder? Like venture capital?
My fiance and I recently purchased a small business. We had to find "investors" to fund the purchase. Basically, we borrowed from family with intent to pay back in 2 years. You are correct that an SBA loan is hard to get. If you want to start a business though, this is your first test of creativity. What lies ahead can be challenging. We didn't think about payroll, invoicing, keeping the books and finding work. Make sure you have a solid business plan to handle the variations of business ownership.
