To supplement our Contributor Rewards Program, MoneyStance.com is also going to host a number of contests designed to reward members for a variety of accomplishments. These incentives are to promote the sharing of money making knowledge and experiences for the enlightenment of all MoneyStance visitors.

Thanks, I think communities need a little nudge to get started. The contest is advertised on every page of the site in the right sidebar. No emails have been sent out. Let your friends know if you wish. $100 can be made quick and easy.

Contests are the By Far, Best method to get members and activity. Regular contest keep stream of new members coming in day by day, once the stuff gets advertised on the internet... with these kind of contests.

I like the way tier systems are made.

great ideas to get the forum rocking, I actually fell in love with the new look of the forums, this is some sort of forum I haven't come across before and I have to admit I really love the style of posting and arrangements made over here. The points system looks fabulous and will attract any newbie in making a good contribution thanks for bringing forward such a good community
Well I love the system on this website. Since I joined I've learned quite a bit. I am a big fan of the Tier system, which has some pretty good rewards.
bouch, I would personally congratulate you for providing such a quality environment for the members to post on and a perfect marketing location
my only suggestionn would be - kindly look over to the un-necessary spam posts, users do un-necessary posts to increase their point value, it actually gives a negative indication to the buyer, especially if the topics are copy pasted or diverted.
I agree with rocks for the spammed posts thingie.
We need to have an active moderator at the start as it will be easy to manage it from the start, instead of adding some moderator after the forum is filled with 1000s of posts.
The Forum isn’t the primary purpose of the site, the reviews are. The forum is just another community portal to share information as well as the user blogs. We have moderators in place and if the spam gets overwhelming, we’ll put other protections in place and bring additional moderators on board. As we see it currently, the spam is manageable.
yeah i agree to this point.
as moneystance is mainly about reviews... so forum is just an adjuvent... and we do have very little spam here.. [mostly people arent spreading it knowingly].
but again once there are a lot of spam posts.. then it will be hard to manage forum with just one moderator.
but that thing is far atm... we are getting more good posts than any spams.
Sitewide we currently have three moderators...but I'm also the community manager and the voice for MoneyStance.com
The contest is going great so far. I love Tier 2. Tier 1 is okay but nothing I can't get elsewhere.
I also got $5 just for participating in the forums and the admin (or whoever paid me) is a nice guy to deal with.
I just wish more people would join. We only need a few more people to move onto Round 2 so COME ON GUYS! :)
There are loads of things which makes this contest entertaining,and reason for that:
1) Do five post and you will get $5(NO one in current scenario provides that)
2) Admin is fantastic.(We dont have to wait for any reply or payment related issues for days)
3) Different levels are icing on the cake.(It intends members to post more and more stuffs)
I think you guys are talking about a different contest, not the one in this thread which has already been completed.
